12 December 2007
Seasons Greetings.
As 2007 comes to a close it is a privilege to continue to serve as your Member of Parliament. I wish you and your loved ones an excellent holiday and a fantastic New Year.
It is often easy over the Christmas period to lose track of the central message. In this day and age this is not a message of any one religion, nor a message of materialist gain. It is a message of family unity in a world that seems increasingly busy and frantic. I hope you all take this opportunity to spend time with the people who mean the most to you.
My thoughts go out to many of those who will not have the opportunity to spend any time this Christmas with their loved ones. In particular those serving their country in places of war in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan, those serving in hospitals, police and all of the emergency services who devote their vacation periods to the care of others. The sacrifices of these remarkable men and women allow that all of those we love may enjoy a Merry Christmas.
I wish you and your loved ones a truly safe and happy Christmas and a prosperous and peaceful New Year.
Best Wishes,
Martyn Jones MP
