MARTYN JONES MP PROUD OF URBAN TWO INVESTMENT IN COED POETH

Martyn Jones MP joined local Councillor for Coed Poeth, Gareth Griffiths, in visiting the new Lifelong Learning Centre. The centre is still under construction and is funded by Urban Two (A European Grant) thanks to persistent lobbying by many local Labour members including M.E.P’s and councillors.

Mr Jones commented:

“This is an incredible project and the building work is coming along nicely. This centre will encourage learning for all sorts of people in the community providing superb facilities for all concerned. In an age of high-tech a centre that can educate people in computer literacy is essential. I am proud to see the people of Coed Poeth will be catered for in this regard.

This centre’s size is superb and its design is really cutting edge. This project epitomises what many Labour elected officials are striving to achieve 24/7. Useful services in the community and for the community.

The centre looks as though it will be ready around Easter time and I am thoroughly looking forward to attending the grand - opening!”

Local Councillor, Gareth Griffiths, stated:

“I am really excited about this centre. It is great news for the people of the local area. I would like to pay tribute to the many people who worked with me in getting this project to this stage, especially our local Labour M.E.P’s who worked hard to get the original funding.

Training and skills education are a vital part of the modern economy and I am delighted that the people of Coed Poeth will have this superb centre at their disposal.

I will continue to work towards projects such as this one and to work to guarantee the people of Coed Poeth have the best facilities at their disposal.”
