Martyn Jones MP urges caution this Halloween
Martyn Jones MP has urged all people celebrating Halloween across the region to enjoy the event sensibly this year.
The MP for Clwyd South stated:
“The 31st of October can be a great time for parents and children to dress up and have a great time. However I truly hope that no one inflicts a truly scary Halloween upon anyone.
Young people must remember that many elderly people in North Wales feel uncomfortable answering the door after dark. They must also realise that the customary ‘trick’ of hurling eggs at people’s property is not in keeping with the spirit of this holiday.
Trick or treaters would be well advised to only knock on doors of those they know. This way the Halloween holiday can be celebrated within the community in the customary way: in comfort and having eaten too much chocolate!”
